Components, variants and properties

Add variants to a component.

Create a component from the selection with ⌥⌘K. The Assets panel lists the components and variants on your canvas; drag one onto any frame to add an instance.

A component can have variants. In Properties, switch an instance between them, or swap it for another component.

A component can expose properties: show or hide a layer, edit text, swap a nested component, or surface a nested component property. Set them per instance.

Instances can override fill, stroke, image, visibility and effects, each with its own reset. Double-click into an instance to move or restyle its elements; only that instance changes and the main stays as it is.
